Simon Fredrick Halverson, son of Halver Simondson and Moren Fredrickson, was born at Fredrickstad (Onse) Norway on October 2, 1829.
In his youth he was a fisherman but later became a wheelwright by trade. He accepted the gospel in Norway and came to America.
