A Quick Overview

Mom and Dad met in Long Beach when Dad was in the Navy and Mom was staying with Aunt Geneva there. They were married in the Logan temple.

They lived in Long Beach for several years, also living for a time in Provo, while Dad went to school. They were having difficulty conceiving, and this went on for 5 years. Coincidentally, Mom had an impacted tooth removed, and soon after, she conceived. (That's a whole story by itself.) That's where Lynn was born.

They moved to Everett, WA and it was there that Anne and Arlene were born. Then we moved to Murray where Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson lived, and Paul and Carma were born there. We lived there several years, until about 1951, when we moved to Redwood City, CA. Dad was working there for Philco.

From Redwood City, we moved to Corte Madera, then Point Arena where we lived until about 1954. Then we moved to Sonoma.

Sometime while we were there, it was decided that Dad needed to go to Philco's headquarters in Philadelphia for some training before he was re-assigned. So we drove across the country, hauling a trailer. We stayed in Philadelphia for about a month, going to school there, then drove the trailer down to Florida, stopping for some sightseeing along the way.

We lived in Fort Walton Beach for a while, then moved to Bossier City, LA where we lived until about 1961. The family then moved to Santa Clara, CA.
